Who is Tozo?

Hello! Welcome to my website :)

My name is Thomas Joseph Copsetta III.

I’ve been shooting, directing, and editing videos since I was 9 years old with my best friends next door. We would post these videos on my only YouTube channel at the time, TheTozotube. Since then, I realized that making videos was becoming a very serious passion of mine. During high school, I took my first communications course with my favorite teacher of all time, Mr. Bouchard. This course solidified my path in this field. After becoming more skilled over the years, I developed a burning passion for creating. At that point, I found out what I want to do in my life. Create, share, and make an impact.

What is Tozo Productions?

Tozo Productions is my production company. This website is designed to be a glorified resume for people looking to hire me, or for people just finding out who I am, what I can do, and how I plan to make a difference! Not only am I available for hire, but I will be releasing digital content in the store section in the future such as preset packs, and LUTs. Tozo Productions is also a YouTube channel I seek to grow, where I post all of my creative content.

Okay, but who is “Tozo”?

Ah, yes. Tozo is me. Tozo has been my nickname (Tom + Zoey, my sister) since I was 9 years old when my father created my first YouTube channel, TheTozotube. I didn’t really start going by it until I had an online presence in 2014, where I started making friends through Twitch. From there, I made all my online friends under the name Tozo. Now, more people know “Tozo” than “Tom”. However, a lot people know Tom as well. See the education page!

My ambitions and goals.

I believe we all have a flame inside of us that is either burning, or waiting to be burned. My goal is to ignite that flame for as many other people as possible. I like to think big. I got out of college at 19 years old (I am now 24), and I am far from satisfied. I have so much I want to do in my life, and I’m hoping I can take millions of people with me on my path through the power of the internet. I want to create things that will positively impact people’s lives, or at least make them think or smile for a few minutes.

Goal-wise, I have a lot of places I want to be in life. My #1 goal is to be successful on YouTube so I can remain self-employed, travel the world, and tell stories. I prefer a successful channel based on creative content like short films, music videos, content creation, etc. I have many goals in the filmmaking world as well such as creating documentaries, feature films, and series. Music videos are among my favorite types of visual media to watch and create, so I totally want to direct music videos of famous artists somewhere down the line, or even for my own music. I also want to travel the world filming concerts, be on feature film sets, get into the live TV industry, and more. I have a lot I want to do, and now is the time to start. Right now, I am working on YouTube ideas and getting a freelance career began to kick myself off. Once I find out how I will work my way toward the rest of these goals. All I know for sure is that I don’t want a normal life. I want to live big, have fun, and make the world a better place!

The skills and experience page goes into detail about each skill I seek to master. I want to do a lot with each of them, and dive into other forms of art like music production. I can confidently note that there are a lot of things that only come with experience. I am by no means a master of any of my skills just yet, but I definitely plan to be soon. Please note that the purpose of this website is to be impressive, not cocky. I’m no one special… At least not yet.

My creative styles.

Depending on what I’m working on, my creative styles can be quite different. When it comes to working for clients, I am capable of any style out there. I do still have my own styles in different genres of media (like short-films vs. motion graphics). My favorite digital style right now is the 80s retro style that can be seen in a lot of my work. That goes along with my favorite styles of music, retrowave and synthwave. In regard to music, I also love Korean Pop, EDM, Lofi, and Vaporwave. Inspiration from these genres can be found in nearly everything I create. I love action filmmaking with quick cuts and fast paced movement, usually in the form of a gun fight. I love slow and organic cinematography as well, where the focus is just the pure beauty of the image. With something like music videos, I like to match the visuals with the music as much as I can to capture a specific emotion. My styles vary from project to project, but definitely become systematic overtime depending on the situation or what I’m creating.

Other hobbies and life things.

I’ve been in and out of different hobbies throughout my life, so if you are interested about me as a person this is the place to be! The biggest hobby of my life other than creating is gaming, without a doubt. I’m a huge Nintendo fan, and have played those games since I could pick up a controller. My favorite game, Smash Ultimate, I played competitively for just over a year. I main the character R.O.B. and was even ranked top 10 in South Jersey for the first three seasons of it’s life! My main channel TheTozotube is all about Nintendo games. See the YouTube Presence page! I also play some PC games.

I’m also really into technology, like my PC. I built it myself, and am running a really great setup right now. You can see my PC specs below in the “my gear” section. Other than computers and filmmaking technology, I used to play around with the launchpad a lot. I have some song covers on my channel! I’ve also always loved riding bikes, especially when I was younger. I was really into dirt-bikes as a kid and moved onto BMX/mountain biking. These days, I mainly just skate on my electric board with my friend Nick. Speaking of friends, most of my hobbies developed within my friends groups. For example, trampolining has been a big part of my life as well as parkour. You can see some of this stuff in my recent trampoline edit! We were also heavy into Airsoft for a while, which is where all of our realistic gun props come from. One of my favorite hobbies to this day is going to my old elementary school, and swinging on the swings and listening to music with my friends. This is my method of cooling off and taking a break. A weak-point in my life is my lack of ability to focus, due to constantly thinking too much. Taking time away to just enjoy the beauty around me and visualizing art is how I try to get around it! I’ve had more hobbies throughout my life, but the rest are pretty boring and didn’t mean too much so I just moved on.

My friends are a huge part of who I am today. I have a solid group of best friends, three of which live next to me. Ryan, Eric, and Matt are the three neighbors who are in pretty much everything I create. They have been into almost every hobby with me, and are basically the reason I found my passion. My other best friends are Deven, Nick, and Philip, who have also been a part of my life for over 10 years and helped me with a lot of videos. I have a lot of great relationships I’ve built up online over the years as well as newer friends who have recently joined my life. I love all of them so much!
